- Tri-State Miserable Fri Nite-Sat, Improves Sunday
- New England Snow Saturday?
Happy Friday morning! To those who celebrate, Happy Passover. Well, old man winter heads to the 11th inning! Who enjoyed those low temps yesterday morning (see below and at weatherremarks headquarters)?

Well, we have 2 low pressure systems that pass over the northeast. 1st one this morning, and the 2nd one a longer duration from late Friday night and right into Sunday.
Brief Burst This Morning

12am through 10am
As you can see the radar depiction above and the forecasted totals not too much of a big deal. But being April 10th always nice to see festive flakes.

This next system is a little bit trickier and a bit more robust regarding snow accumulations along with heavy rainfall across the tri-state area.
Tri-State

From this afternoon into Saturday morning/afternoon, expect nasty raw and gusty conditions. The heaviest and needed rain (1-2″), fortunately falls during the overnight hours (possible boomers and bolts too). Localized flooding in the usual prone areas are possible. Don’t be surprised to see some snow in the nw burbs of NJ up to Hudson Valley Saturday morning. Can’t rule out up to 1-3″ in the higher elavations.

If you’re looking to make outdoor plans, Sunday is the much better choice. Conditions improve in the afternoon under partly sunny skies, with temps climbing into the mid to upper 50s (cooler along coastal sections).

New England (Hudson Valley too)

(blue = snow)
This is a tricky forecast regarding accumulating snow. But from approximately Poughkeepsie up to Pittsfield, to Peterborough onto Portsmouth, look for snow commencing daybreak Saturday morning, before tapering off in the afternoon as sleet over to showers along coast. But backlash snow across NH as storm departs. Higher totals will lean towards higher elevations in the foothills of HV, NW Mass, and south central spine of NH. While I think models are too robust on totals, some of atmospheric gears support it, such as the 850mb (5,000 ft) 0°c line, location of the 540 thickness, etc. That said, it’s passing over quick before the Sedars begin, moving north bringing warmer airmass into the mix. For eye candy and to show you a few different model snow outputs, take a look below. I think a blend of Euro and HRRR below makes sense but let’s see.

That’s it for now. Hope to be back on Sunday with the week ahead details (some rain Tuesday), my eggcellent outlook for Good Friday (not so good with a possible storm) and Easter Weekend (possible Nor’eggster in New England) and do I see extra innings for the Whites and the Loaf? Enjoy The Masters! Who’s ready for some peeps?? Remember, weather never sleeps!
