Good afternoon, atmospheric audience! Just jumping on real quick as a second forecasted spot just got hit, a major 7.0 earthquake in New Zealand. Fortunately, it was just offshore so little to no damage.

And to a lesser extent, yet on the right spot, a 5.0 hit the Caribbean (Martinique). I’m still expecting a larger quake there. If you missed it, I refer you to my March 15th post where I introduced QuakeReMarks (btw all my posts since 2019 are archived on my website). These were my comments:
QuakeReMarks
“Forecasting earthquakes has been a passion of mine for awhile and have kept this to a limited number of folks. But given the fair degree of accuracy and from what I’m seeing as a big pickup in activity, I want to bring my thoughts to all my subscribers. Some may say, either earthquakes can’t be predicted or I should stick to weather and stay in my lane, lol. Given this is a long post, I’ll go into more of the nuts and bolts on another post. But in short, tension and pressure are building around the plates, especially the Ring of Fire. A long unsettling quiet stretch of major quakes is building. Areas I’m looking for a major quake include around New Zealand, Ethiopia, Caribbean (including Puerto Rico), Italy, Vancouver/Seattle area, Alaska, and Indonesia. In the longer range, the Japan mega quake that I’ve been talking about for quite awhile is still on the table. This will have a far reaching significant global economic impact. Catastrophic damage to Japan, plus will more than likely include a tsunami reaching Hawaii and low lying areas of Southern California. Clearly hoping I’m wrong on this. More to come….”
Of course, more updates and details are to follow. Another upcoming segment, SolarReMarks, is coming soon! Earth’s weakening magnetic field, and upcoming pole shift dramatically enhancing auroras, weather and earthquakes. On the snow front, New England did in fact receive plowable snow totals yesterday, a few spots with a half a foot! We even had frozen windshields in New Hampshire this morning (my insane featured photo from my wife)! See below a list NH/ME snow totals.

I’ll be back later this week on what to expect next during this crazy month of transition. More severe weather expected in the southern part of the country Sunday/Monday, plus cooler than expected temps with possible more snow up north. There’s a shot, but a very sharp cutoff boundary, of temps soaring in the 70s Saturday across the tri-state area!

But it’s still winter up north with an icy mix of sleet, freezing rain and snow. Details coming. On the table is major storm the first week of April (no April fools!) Have a great evening everyone and remember, weather never sleeps!
