Good evening! Just a quick heads-up from my last post concerning Sunday’s system. Sleet and freezing rain will be moving over the interior portions of the Northeast early this morning creating treacherous driving conditions. Timing will be from 6/7am until early afternoon when temps rise above freezing. Areas included in the Winter Weather Advisory are NJ counties north of Trenton, Hudson Valley, W CT (west of Hartford), MA (west of Worchester and Fitchburg), southern/central VT, and southwest NH (counties of Hillsborough, Cheshire and Sullivan). For more northern states, advisories last through out the day as temps stay below freezing. Accumulating snow is possible in SW VT and the White Mountains as well today. See below for more details per areas. Bottom line though, it’s a good day to stay indoors and watch the final NFL games of the regular season and stay off the roads if possible. I’ll be back shortly to recap Friday’s snowstorm, the upcoming arctic blast and lurking storm threats. Be safe.
